Public Library

The Riceville Public Library, located at 307 Woodland Ave, offers a variety of services to our community.

Some of those services include offering the latest releases in books, audio books, downloadable audio books and movies, free Wi-Fi and public computers, children’s’ story hour and summer reading program, as well as adult programs.

The Library offers services for a fee such as black and white and color copying, faxing, and scanning.

For those interested in doing some family genealogy, the Library has an extensive collection of cataloged local obituaries. Also, old issues of the Riceville Recorder are microfilmed and ready to be used for research.

The Library is accredited with the State Library of Iowa. The Library and its staff have been recognized nationally for providing quality services to a town our size.

We are open 44 hours a week for patrons. So stop in sometime and check out all that the Riceville Public Library has to offer.

Hours: Monday-Friday – 10-6 p.m. and Saturday – 10-2 p.m.
